Question by SassySours: Yeast infection treatment while menstruating?
Can you use yeast infection treatments such as Monistat-5 while you’re on your period?
I have yet to buy the treatment…if I can’t use it while on my period, why would I buy it? OBVIOUSLY this is why I’m asking this question here first.
Best answer:
Answer by Reality Check, Please!Yes. But you should not use tampons while being treated as the tampon will absorb the cream and won’t treat what its supposed to. You need to use pads for this period, if you don’t already.

Question by stayawake,: discharge after yeast infection treatment?
i took the yeast infection pill my doctor perscribed me. i think it was called difluxer or something like that. i took it 6 days ago and all of the symptoms are gone, but now i’m having whitish discharge, a lot of it. is it just my vagina cleaning out the infection? there’s a lot more than i normally had, but it’s not chunky or anything. thanks!
Best answer:
Answer by RachelThe yeast infection might still be there. Yeast infection discharge can be thin, thick chunky or none at all. I was just diagnosed with a yeast infection today and my Dr. gave me 2 pills. One for this week and one for next week just to make sure it clears all the way up. I think she gave me the same thing you got. I think it was called “Diflucan” or something like that lol. But You should go back to the Doc. and have them check you out to make sure the infection cleared or it’s not something else like Bacterial Vaginosis or something else. good luck!

Question by Lisa: 1-day yeast infection treatment…can I do another treatment?
I have been having itching and soreness for the past few days and went to the store to buy a yeast infection treatment. I bought the one-day and used it two nights ago. I feel like my symptoms are SLIGHTLY getting better, but recently some burning has occurred. Should I go ahead and use a 3-day treatment? I’m positive I have a yeast infection, I’ve had them before but have never used the 1-day.
Can anyone help me?!?!
Best answer:
Answer by sal1970one day treatments contain more medication and can be more irritating. i recommend you try
clotrimazole vaginal cream. one applicatorful at bedtime for 7 days.

Question by Meg: Yeast infection treatment after birth?
I had a c-section a week ago after 18 hours of labor. I’ve been experiencing pain like a yeast infection ever since that seems to be getting worse every day. Is this normal hormonal side effects or could it really be a yeast infection and if so can I use the OTC remedy or is it too soon after birth? Help! Dr’s office is closed right now and I’m in a lot of pain.
Best answer:
Answer by The sex DrIt could be an infection but as you have just had a major operation, I would get medical help as soon as possible. Go to your local hospital if you are worried.

Question by oopsgoesmeeh: What happens if you don’t take the three day treatment for a yeast infection every three days?
Yesterday was suppose to be my last day for Monistat 3 but i accidentally forgot to take it last night so when i woke up this morning i quickly took the last treatment. Will it still get rid of my yeast infection or do i have to restart and buy another treatment?
Best answer:
Answer by ?????ø?e?;;? ?ø? ?efe??e????Uhm I just got rid of mine literally two days ago and I only used it two days cause I forgot too lol I also hope you plan on doing anything today o.o you’re supposed to be laying down when using that, that’s why they want you to use it right before you go to bed
I also think it depends on how bad yours is. This time which is my second it wasn’t that bad so I don’t think the three day one was needed for me to get rid of it :p Well that and my period just came on so it was making it hard for the yeast to grow anyway
So in the future if you have one a day or two before your . . . → Read More: What happens if you don’t take the three day treatment for a yeast infection every three days?

Question by TruthSeeker: Natural Yeast Infection Treatment During Pregnancy?
I’m 33 weeks preg. today and I know infections can cause premature labor this late which is why I need help fast! I was diagnosed w/ a yeast infection and prescribed a 3-day suppository. I’ve heard 3 day treatments don’t work during preg. and that what I was prescribed can cause birth defects (although so rarely it’s not considered a risk…not good enough for me). The clinic where I go has proven incompetant many times (I have no other choice, so I really can’t do anything but do most of my own research, which is why I ask a lot of questions here), and I don’t trust them with this. Are vinegar or baking soda baths safe/effective during pregnancy? Does anyone else know of a non-drug treatment which is safe while pregnant? For those who will attack me, I am not going against doctors’ orders and being neglegent…I’m honestly trying to do what’s best for my baby’s health, which is not always what is advised by these docs. Thanks to everyone who offers advice.
