Choosing Natural Yeast Infection Treatments That Work
Article by Mabel D. Rutherford
When it comes to treating a yeast infection, you should look for a product that will effectively treat the root of the problem. There are many treatment options to choose from when treating Candida, but the majority of them focus on treating the symptoms rather than treating the root cause. A yeast infection is just like anything else; if you don’t find a remedy that will treat the root of the problem, it will come back once you stop the treatment.
Natural Options
You have likely used different over the counter medications that seemed to work really well. Have you ever noticed that the problem comes back once you stop taking the medication? Usually it comes back just as bad as it was to start with. This is because the medication was just masking the symptoms and not treating the cause. The great thing about using natural yeast infection treatments is that they are formulated to treat the cause of the condition. Natural treatments are not designed to mask the symptoms so that it appears that the infection has cleared up.

So What is The Best Vaginal Yeast Infection Treatment?
Article by Michael Barrows
Vaginal yeast infection treatments are many and varied, and these solutions usually comprise over-the-counter medicines, that tend to work by killing or inhibiting the growth of yeast within the body. There are a large number of oral and non-oral treatments available such as Monistat, which is a directly-applied treatment of a cream containing miconazole nitrate, which destroys fungi and yeasts by interfering with their cell membranes. It works by stopping the fungi from producing a substance called ergosterol, which is an essential component of fungal cell membranes. The disruption in production of ergosterol disrupts the fungal cell membrane, causing holes to appear in it.This is just one of a variety of directly-applied treatments, including creams and suppositories (such as vaginal boric acid capsules), which are used as vaginal yeast infection treatments. Alternatively, there are oral treatments, such as anti-fungal medication, that can be used. Many of these treatments are fully available over-the-counter and women can get these treatments without prescription. However, self-diagnosis is extremely dangerous}, since many of the symptoms of vaginal yeast infection are also symptoms of other problems such as bacterial infection or sexually transmitted diseases. Question by nanook: Yeast infection treatments while trying to concieve?
I am on cycle day 12 and I have a yeast infection (stupid thongs!). I am not sure which over the counter med to get. I have used the three day before but I am wondering if anyone has had success with the one day treatment? I usually ovulate day 14 or 16 so I am trying to clear this up before then. Any advice appreciated. Thanks!
(I am sure it is a yeast infection, I have had two before from antibiotic use.)
Sorry if TMI!

Answer by tenar10rDitch the thongs, they rub back and forth more than regular panties and help transmit bacteria and such from your anus forward toward your vagina making it easier for you to get yeast infections.
I’ve had success from the 1-pill treatment but you will also want to get your guy checked out too. They can be asymptomatic carriers of yeast infections (as well as other infections) so he needs to be ‘clean’ before you let him um… dip his wick again. Otherwise he’ll just reinfect you over and over and that can cause fertility problems.
If I were you I would not try to conceive this . . . → Read More: Yeast infection treatments while trying to concieve?

Yeast infection treatment is usually through prescription or over-the-counter medications. These are usually drug-based and can work for many people given time. The problem is that they tend to focus on the symptoms of the infection rather than the root cause(s). And if they just address the symptoms again, then they can suffer even more infections that can cause health problems over time. Inflection Of The Colon: What Are The Treatment Options?
The words “colon infection” can cover a range different colon problems.
When used by doctors, however, it usually refers to a disorder caused by the Clostridium difficile bacteria – more commonly known as C. difficile or simply C diff.
Older adults who are living in a long term care facility or staying in a hospital are among those most likely to get a C. diff colon infection. This is due to the fact that they’re usually taking antibiotics.
In addition to killing harmful bacteria, antibiotics may also kill bacteria we need to process and digest our food efficiently. These helpful bacteria live in our intestines. When there are not enough helpful kinds of bacteria in the intestines, it’s easier for Clostridium difficile to get established. Once C. diff gets established, it causes an infection by producing a toxic substance that attacks the lining of the cells and intestines. The resulting inflammation causes abdominal pain and discomfort.
Sometimes a colon infection caused by C. diff is mild. If so, your infection may subside when you stop taking the antibiotic. In cases wher the colon infection is more severe, however, a different type of . . . → Read More: Inflection Of The Colon: What Are The Treatment Options?

Question by SassySours: Yeast infection treatment while menstruating?
Can you use yeast infection treatments such as Monistat-5 while you’re on your period?
I have yet to buy the treatment…if I can’t use it while on my period, why would I buy it? OBVIOUSLY this is why I’m asking this question here first.
Best answer:
Answer by Reality Check, Please!Yes. But you should not use tampons while being treated as the tampon will absorb the cream and won’t treat what its supposed to. You need to use pads for this period, if you don’t already.
