Article by Kim Kitchener

The purpose of this article is to draw attention to the not so common causes of a penile yeast infection. It is incredibly important to catch this condition early as it can and would cause major discomfort as soon as the infection is full blown.

Many men are under the impression that you need to experience certain symptoms before a penile yeast infection is diagnosed. Unfortunately this is a bit of a myth as there are some lesser known symptoms that you have to watch out for.

Do you ever returned from work or from a day out totally shattered and you do not understand why?

Do you often get bad-tempered and there is no real reason to do so?

Have you all of a sudden started to experience loss of memory?

Do your muscles ache and your joints feel very stiff?

All of the above are symptoms of a candida infection and if not treated early enough could cause you some severe pain in the future. So even though these are not in general thought of as male yeast infection symptoms, you ought to be aware of these and react as early as possible.

This is where most men face a dilemma, do they take drugs to cure the issue or do they just leave things and hope that these symptoms are merely the stresses of usual everyday life. Most men do not like taking drugs full stop, let alone on the chance that they may have a penile yeast infection. This often means that they leave it and just react when it is too late, that is, when the burning sensation starts whilst urinating or the blisters start to emerge on the penis.

The obvious answer to this is to obtain a natural resolution to this problem, so that if it is a yeast infection it will be treated before the more serious symptoms show. The other reason for going natural is that you will not be filling your body full of drugs, just because you think you could have a penile yeast infection.

With a yeast infection it is very important to locate and treat the root cause and not merely the symptoms. This is where I believe that natural methods are better than taking drugs. The drugs just seem to clear up the symptoms which regularly emerge again at a later time. This is where the drug companies make their money, as when the symptoms surface again you have to buy more drugs to again clear up the problem.

So in conclusion, never wait until you exhibit the full blown symptoms of a penile yeast infection before you do something about it. Try and find a natural way to treat the cause and not only the symptoms. If you do this then you should remove the risk of a yeast infection once and for all.

As a former sufferer of this condition I want to help you to understand that there are symptoms that are not normally associated with this disease. I found out when it was too late, you do not have to.

Article by Alec McEachern

Perhaps lately you have been feeling out of sorts. Maybe you are actually wondering just how to detect yeast infection symptoms or whether you may have the symptoms of some other sickness. Yeast infections share many common symptoms as other ailments, such urinary tract infection. Yeast infections symptoms are important to identify because at least 75% of woman will have to deal with at least one yeast infection in their lifetime.

First of all, we should go over what causes a yeast infection. Everyone has certain amounts of Candida Albicans in the body and they are essential for our good health. Candida is a fungus. It is typically found on the mouth, skin, lower bowel, and vagina. The problem arises when some people have more present in their bodies than others.

When the internal environment of the body becomes unhealthy, the fungus can grow out of control and spread into unwelcome areas of the body. The causes of yeast infection are varied, but the most common are use of birth control, poor diet, and the use of antibiotics. Some women also find themselves prone to yeast . . . → Read More: How to Detect Yeast Infection Symptoms %u2013 Things Every Woman Ought to Know!

Some women also find themselves prone to yeast infections during pregnancy.

Symptoms can occur anywhere in the body that provides an environment that is warm and moist. These areas include the mouth, throat, groin, and skin folds. Symptoms can vary in severity and duration.

A Candida infection of the mouth is called thrush, commonly known as “trench mouth”. This often causes pain when eating and swallowing. The infection can be identified by white patches on the inside of the mouth and tongue. You may also notice redness underneath the tongue. Digestive problems will arise when the infection invades the gastrointestinal tract.

On the skin, you’ll notice redness and itching, and it will be painful. In the vaginal area you’ll notice soreness, burning, and a discharge that resembles thick cottage cheese. Other miscellaneous symptoms you may experience include joint and muscle pain, diarrhea, general fatigue, bladder infections, depression, and food cravings.

Diagnosing your symptoms can be a frustrating process at first. I’d strongly advise you to seek the consultation of a health professional if this is your first time experiencing any of these symptoms. It does become an easier process after having experienced at least one yeast infection. Understanding the symptoms of yeast infections will put you in a position to treat it effectively without the aid of professional help before the infection spreads and gets worse.

Question by help28: Are these symptoms of a yeast infection?
I noticed three days ago that I started itching in my vagina area, I tried not to scratch it but I did, now it is slightly red and burns worse. I also have a white discard that has no odor and it is not clumpy at all. I don’t see any warts, but do see tiny bumps that was not there until I scratch it in my sleep. It also burns when I urinate, that happen tonight after I scratch it. Are these symptoms fo a yeast infection or something worse?
I don’t have insurance and I am worried about how to treat this on my own. Please help me with any suggestions you may have.

Thank you

Best answer:

Answer by noodlesIt sounds like it, just go to your pharmacy and ask for some cream for a yeast infection, you should be able to get it without a prescription, if it doesnt go away after the course of the cream, go to your docs.
Another solution if you have low money (this is going to sound yuk) but ive heard that you can get pure plain yoghurt and use that.
Good luck and try not to scratch!!!!

Most people tend to think about yeast infection symptoms as being caused by the Candida yeast. While there is a lot of truth in that, the fact is there are 20-plus different species of Candida with Candida albicans being the most common.

Every year, there are millions of people all over, who are infected with this condition, which is known as Candidiasis. What makes the condition so hard to treat, is that anyone can get it, no matter what, because of many reasons. One little known fact is that yeast is a fungus that can be found anywhere on your body. As long as you keep your body healthy, you will be able to resist any spread of yeast.

There may be pain during sex as well as painful urination with a possible burning sensation. A similar type of discharge that is white and thick could come from the penis. Symptoms such as continual tiredness, lack of energy and digestive problems can be experienced by men as well as women. Part of the problem with the general symptoms is they are nonspecific and could be caused by many other conditions.

It is a scientific fact that infections do not always happen with just women. Babies and most males can develop these infections as well. Different forms of Candida yeast can manifest for a number of reasons that we shall mention. Thrush, a form of oral Candida yeast infection, is very common. A red and white appearance is typically associated with thrush. Your tongue and inner mouth area are definitely areas where this infection can persist.

Even though there could be other reasons for vaginitis, the most typical cause is the Candida albicans yeast infection which needs to be treated as quickly as possible. You can choose to self-medicate or consult your doctor if you experience the common symptoms of vaginal yeast infection. Professional medical intervention is needed however if your are pregnant or have other medical conditions so that you can receive safe and effective treatment. Your doctor will perform a simple test by taking a small scrape of tissue for laboratory analysis. The scrape sample may be cultured after which a trained technician will identify the organism under a microscope. This is the most accurate way of getting a proper diagnosis and doesn’t take very long. Anybody who suspects their symptoms could be a yeast infection must take it seriously. Infection of the sexual organs for either genders can become painful and can be a serious threat. Since this infection can be spread through sexual contact, there is a personal responsibility involved in protecting others too. There is the extreme danger of causing damage to skin or tissue during sexual activity that could possibly introduce yeast into the bloodstream. In many cases,a systemic yeast infection can be fatal.

Many women at a time during their lives have experienced yeast infections. If you have not, most likely you will at some point. Here are tips on identifying yeast infection symptoms and how they can be treated.

We usually don’t understand how yeast infections originate. We just know something is going on and it doesn’t feel good in our vaginal area. These infections are a result of an excessive amount of fungi that makes its home in vaginal areas. In yeast infections it is commonly termed Canidida albicans.

What produces an unusual amount of this fungus that can result in a yeast infection is medications or antibiotics and various types of clothing you may wear that may capture and hold a lot of warmth or heat, and those that accumulate moisture. Other occurrences can be a result of a pregnancy, having diabetes, and being overweight.

The yeast infection symptoms you want to look out for are easy to identify. There are several signs and all are irritating, can cause a lot of discomfort, and even pain.

The first one is discharges in the vaginal area. This is going to appear as a thick whitey substance and is typically an excessive amount. This is a common occurrence with yeast infections that lead to the next symptom.

The next symptom is itching. The itchiness feeling results in non stop scratching. The constant scratching to relieve this distress results in making your skin in the vaginal area begin to feel raw or tender, adding to the soreness and leading to pain.

Burning is another symptom. This can be a frequent sensation or it may only occur during urination at which time it is at its peak making you want to avoid the bathroom all together.

With really bad cases of yeast infections the vulva may swell with causes additional pain. You may find it difficult to have intercourse as well.

Preventative measures you can take to help reduce the risk of vaginal yeast infections is to wear loose clothes that won’t capture warmth and moisture. Douching can also cause bacteria and fungus. It is not recommended that women make a practice using this method to clean your vagina.

Cleanse your outer area of your vagina daily with soap and warm water. Using perfume products and shower gels may cause inflammation and fungus growth in that area.

Effective treatment methods include medications antifungal creams that will cure your problem. There are also tablets you can take orally. Suppositories that are specifically made to eliminate yeast infection symptoms are an option.

Recognizing the symptoms early and visiting your healthcare provider quickly will quickly diminish your discomfort. If you are experiencing these yeast infection symptoms, it is time to get help. You want to make sure you have a confirmed diagnosis, as these symptoms can be a result of another medical problem.

When it comes to yeast infection, it seems that almost anything can set them off.

Swimming, wearing tighter than tight jeans, and even scented soaps and body washes can all cause yeast cells to overgrow. But, there’s a lot more to it than choosing the right shower gel.

 Your immune system…

Everything from the foods we eat, to the common toxins and chemicals that we are exposed to on a daily basis can weaken our immune systems. Our bodies are pretty resilient, but after constant exposure to harmful pollutants our bodies slowly start to weaken.
As soon as the the immune system is weak, our bodies are far more likely to suffer from illnesses, and a common result of a weakened immune response is a yeast infection. If your immune system is strong your body will have no trouble keeping the yeast cells in check. But, as soon as we begin to weaken, the yeast cells are free to grow and spread freely around our bodies. The more yeast cells there are, the weaker the immune system becomes, and our heath slowly begins to suffer as a result over time.

 Eating a bad diet…
Eating the wrong foods will also help to weaken the immune system.

But it can also increase your risk of developing a yeast infection.

If you eat a diet that is high in sugar, junk food, yeast based foods, diary and processed foods then you’ll be at a far greater risk of a yeast overgrowth.
Yeast cells love all those foods that are bad for you especially sugar. If you’re eating a diet that has very little nutritional value, and consists of primarily junk based foods you may find that your immune system is very weak. You’ll also find that your digestion is extremely sluggish, and that any nasty symptoms or health problems your are encountering are being caused by a yeast overgrowth.

 Poor lifestyle choices…
Most of us are guilty of not taking great care of ourselves. Sure, this isn’t so bad in the short term, but if you don’t take care of yourself in the long term, your body will start to suffer. We all need to get plenty of sleep each night, reduce our stress levels and eat and drink the right things regularly. If you’re not doing these things on a regular basis, you’ll soon notice that your health is suffering as a result.

It’s only a matter of time before you experience some of the common yeast infection symptoms.

 Making matters worse…
Teaming the above three with a yeast promoting trigger such as wearing synthetic underwear, swimming in a chlorine pool, maintaining poor genital hygiene, wearing tight jeans, using contraception and perfumed soaps and gels (to name but a few) may be all it takes to cause your yeast cells to overgrow and spread into a nasty and painful yeast infection.
