Diflucan Thrush – Is Diflucan a Good Choice For Thrush?
What is thrush? You probably know by now thrush is caused by yeast overgrowth, usually the common yeast candida albicans. Naturally you want relief from your thrush and you’re wondering if you should use Diflucan for thrush. In a word: no. Diflucan is a potent anti-fungal drug which is a bit like taking an herbicide internally. Yes, it will stop the thrush from growing (at least temporarily), but it can also wreak havoc on your health and well-being at the same time.
Using Diflucan for thrush carries the risk of serious side effects:
*nausea, stomach pain, low fever, loss of appetite, dark urine, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes)
*fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms
*severe blistering, peeling and red skin rash
*easy bruising or bleeding, unusual weakness
*seizure (convulsions)
On top of that, Diflucan can also cause less serious side effects such as mild nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or upset stomach; headache, dizziness, unusual or unpleasant taste in your mouth; or skin rash or itching.
Even if using Diflucan for thrush doesn’t cause these more obvious side effects, what subtle damage is happening to your body? Years ago, before I learned to cure thrush naturally and holistically, I was prescribed Diflucan for my yeast problems.
I was somewhat aware of natural and alternative medicine at the time, so even though I decided to take the Diflucan, I also took milk thistle to protect my liver.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t enough to protect my body from the effects of the Diflucan – as it ended up, my hair started falling out, I lost 20 pounds down and became emaciated and weak. Looking back, it must have really affected my mental functioning because I don’t know why I didn’t stop taking it sooner!
The reality is that in 99.9% of cases, Diflucan isn’t necessary to treat thrush. There are completely safe and natural ways to treat thrush permanently, without side effects. Not only is the holistic approach safe – it’s much more effective over the long term.
