Question by Vlari: What medication should i get to treat thrush?
I don’t want to go get checked if i have the option of getting the medication free of prescription. I’m pretty sure i have thrush because i’ve been experiencing the obvious symptoms. Im not sure what i should use. My symptoms are not severe. I am 16 years old. What medication should i look for? Is it expensive??
It is vaginal thrush not oral.

You should always go to the doc if this is your first infection. They need to determine if it is bacterial vs. fungal. The doc can prescribe you an appropriate script and with insurance can wind up being cheaper than any over the counter treatment.

Okay, so you’re absolutely sure it’s thrush? Monistat works well for yeast infections.

thrush is in the mouth- an otherwise healthy teenager should not be getting this infection- see a doctor! If you are have vaginal symptoms- monistat or some store brands can help with that-
Use Canestan. You can get it in a pharmacy and dont need a prescription. For vaginal thrust you should get the pessary type or Canestan duo that has the pessary and cream. You dont need to go to a docotr unless it doesnt clear up.
