What you will find is other than the genitalia area male thrush symptoms and thrush symptoms in women are pretty much the same and many people feel is one of the more common types of yeast infection or form of candidiasis we are dealing with today .

Thrush, which normally affects the female genitalia area. (It is unusual for males to contract it but not unheard of.) But because yeast infections are not very selective they can and do effect both male and female, and they will only target certain parts of your body. In the male with an infected penis he will develop patchy sores around the head and or on his foreskin.

Yeast infections target the skin or mucous-like membrane, and is caused in the body by a fungi called Candida. In the laboratory cultures it appears as large, white round colonies, cream color or a whitish-gray. One of the best know species is called Candida albicans, just to keep the record strait Candida albicans is not the only culprit that can cause a yeast infections in us.

Candida albicans exist with other flora in our bodies, its growth is kept in place by other bacteria. It likes to reside in the dark, warm, wet areas of our body. This is the reason yeast infections are normally found in our body areas like our ears, mouth, blood, gastrointestinal or “gut” area as well as the genitalia. Another place it likes to call home is on our skin, anyplace that is warm and wet areas like skin folds and our armpits.

Candidiasis is also know as a yeast infection because Candida albicans in its normal state is a single oval yeast cells. When it’s  in this form, it will duplicate through what is called budding. Simple stated the cells will create genetic clones through bulbs that sprout out of them. These bulbs will stay connected to the main cells for a  period of time before releasing.

So lets take a look at the actual cause of yeast infection. The first thing that has to happen in our body for Candida albicans and bacteria to grow without creating a problem with other flora, is our body temperature must be at a certain level and our pH levels need to be balanced. Now what happens when our temperature and pH levels change, the bacteria will die. When this happens the Candida albicans cells are free to form into fungi and when they do they will replicate out of control.

The first signs of Candida albicans fungi during there expansion period may cause any of the following  sensations:

burning itching soreness tingling.

At times, two or more of these maybe be felt at one time. You should avoid scratching this areas, since doing so will only spread the growth of the fungi.

You may also experience some of the following signs as well:

anxiety bad memory cravings for sugars, carbohydrates or alcohol depression dizziness drowsiness fatigue fluid retention irritability lack of coordination loss of balance mood swings muscle aches pain or swelling in the joints poor concentration tissue swelling  

Many of these are also very common symptoms for other types of illness, so it would be best to check with your doctor.

There are some specific side effect that take place when your dealing with the overgrowth in an effect area. To list a few, yeast infections can cause white-or cream-colored patches inside your mouth, and they can be as far in as the soft palate. They can also cause digestion problems and can even make your bowel movement difficult.  Candidiasis can also cause discharges from your ears, bowels (in the stool) and your genitalia area.

Yeast infections are not something you should ignore they can cause serious, and in some cases even fatal diseases. This holds true for anyone that is suffering with a weakened or underdeveloped immune system, diabetes, HIV Or AIDS virus. You can be cured if you take immediate and proper steps verify the diagnosis with your doctor and take medication.
