This yeast normally lives in our organism: in throat, vagina, on the skin and in the gastrointestinal tract. So, how does it happen, when Candida strikes? Normally, the vagina is acidic and Candida does not grow. If the balance of acidity is tilted, Candida begin to overgrow and causes a vaginal infection. There are many causes to affect the acidity inside of vagina: menstruation (period), diabetes, steroids, birth control pills, etc. What are the symptoms of vaginal yeast (Candida) infection?

Question by : What is the difference in symptoms between a yeast infection and BV (bacterial vaginitis)?
Yeah. Question explains it.
I heard that one way to tell the difference is that in BV, your discharge will smell badly, while in Yeast it will have virtually no odors. Is that true?
What are other differences?
Best answer:
Answer by Mrs. DIVYARANI ??????? ??????????????? ????Not all women will show the same exact symptoms of a yeast infection, the symptoms sometimes can vary. Burning and itching is very common as well as pain during sex. Furthermore, we can observe a white and clumpy discharge, but this vaginal discharge has usually no odor. This lack of odor is usually a sign that we deal with a yeast infection and not with BV or another vaginal infection caused by bacteria.
The candida yeast infection is caused by an abundance of the candida albicans fungus (hence the name). Some causes for the appearance of candida could be taking antibiotics, high estrogen levels or diabetes.
Here we can also see the problem: We need to have a clear diagnosis whether we deal with vaginosis or a yeast infection since treating each the wrong way would have exactly the opposite effect.

Candida Overgrowth Symptoms ? What You Don?t Know Can Kill You
I am often asked to describe Candida overgrowth symptoms. Before we can discuss the symptoms of Candida overgrowth it is important to understand just what Candida overgrowth is. Candida is a naturally occurring yeast that lives within the body. It only becomes a problem when it grows out of control. Usually, our body’s natural defenses protect us from yeast overgrowth. When these defenses break down, our body gets out of balance and the yeast has an opportunity to multiply rapidly. When this happens the yeast changes to mold and we have a Candida yeast infection.
A Candida infection is classified as either acute or chronic. With an acute infection the symptoms develop rapidly and are generally localized. Localized vaginal infection and oral thrush are examples of acute Candida infections..
Symptoms of an acute infection caused by Candida overgrowth vary with the location of the infection and include the following:
- Rash
- Itchiness
- Soreness
- White Patches
- Redness
- Pain
- “Cottage Cheese” type discharge
- Discomfort during intercourse
- Painful urination
While symptoms of acute infections are usually confined to the infected area, chronic yeast infections can show up throughout the body in many areas at the same . . . → Read More: Candida Overgrowth Symptoms ? What You Don?t Know Can Kill You
