What medication should i get to treat thrush?

Question by Vlari: What medication should i get to treat thrush?
I don’t want to go get checked if i have the option of getting the medication free of prescription. I’m pretty sure i have thrush because i’ve been experiencing the obvious symptoms. Im not sure what i should use. My symptoms are not severe. I am 16 years old. What medication should i look for? Is it expensive??
It is vaginal thrush not oral.

Best answer:

Answer by nurse ratchetYou should always go to the doc if this is your first infection. They need to determine if it is bacterial vs. fungal. The doc can prescribe you an appropriate script and with insurance can wind up being cheaper than any over the counter treatment.

What kind of acidophilus should I take for thrush?

Question by kelly m: What kind of acidophilus should I take for thrush?
I’m breastfeeding, and think I might have thrush. I don’t have all the symptoms, but my nipples really hurt when I nurse. I don’t have shooting pain in my breasts, and the pain doesn’t last once I stop nursing. But when I nurse it feels like baby has razors in her mouth. I feel great relief when I stop.
I don’t think it’s improper latch. She’s 9months , so I think by now she knows how to latch properly.
I thought of using gentian violet and acidophilus. Is it okay to take lactobacilus acidophilus if you can’t drink milk? If not what else can I take?
And also, can I use gentian violet? Will it stain my baby’s teeth?

Best answer:

Answer by KooriGirlIf you are lactose intolerant, lactobacillus acidophillus is very good for you, as it helps to break down lactose (milk sugars) by producing the enzyme lactase, which lactose intolerant individuals do not produce.

Have a look at this link for lactobacillus acidophillus.

Penile Yeast Infection Symptoms – what should I look out for

Penile Yeast Infection Symptoms – what should I look out for

Article by Kim Kitchener

The purpose of this article is to draw attention to the not so common causes of a penile yeast infection. It is incredibly important to catch this condition early as it can and would cause major discomfort as soon as the infection is full blown.

Many men are under the impression that you need to experience certain symptoms before a penile yeast infection is diagnosed. Unfortunately this is a bit of a myth as there are some lesser known symptoms that you have to watch out for.

Do you ever returned from work or from a day out totally shattered and you do not understand why?

Do you often get bad-tempered and there is no real reason to do so?

Have you all of a sudden started to experience loss of memory?

Do your muscles ache and your joints feel very stiff?

All of the above are symptoms of a candida infection and if not treated early enough could cause you some severe pain in the future. So even though these are not in general thought of as male yeast infection symptoms, you ought to be aware of these and react . . . → Read More: Penile Yeast Infection Symptoms – what should I look out for

how long should a fast against candida last?

Question by First Namerggdf: how long should a fast against candida last?
I have done 3 days so far of water fasting in an effort to get rid of this. How long should this last?
I meant water fast as in a fast where I only drink water, not as in a fast where I do everything but drink water, sorry for the confusion!

Best answer:

Answer by R.M.G!Who told you that you should “fast”, to get rid of Candida?
That is not an effective treatment for candida.
Your time would have been better spent, doing a web-search for natural cures/treatments against candida.
Drinking water helps people to flush out waste, and toxins out of the body.
Not drinking water for 3 days will only get YOU dehydrated!
Whoever suggested that you do that, was/is an idiot.

Sorry for not realizing that. But on this board, all kinds of crazy things show up, so we start expecting to read the un-thinkable.
I do hope you ARE doing your own web-search on your subject, since you are not getting much here. The search that I “did”, did not include “flushing your system”, as a possible answer. Happy hunting.

Male Yeast Infection Symptoms Should Never Be Ignored – Why?

Male yeast infection symptoms should never be ignored because you risk allowing the infection to become more deep-rooted / chronic and extremely difficult to eradicate. Also, yeast infection symptoms should never be ignored because the infection can also affect your overall health, leaving you constantly tired, irritable, depressed, and even with aching / swollen joints and chronic rashes. Main male yeast infection symptoms are; penis head red and inflamed sometimes with red spots / blisters, chronic itch, dry / flaky skin, unusual discharge, painful sex, impotence, pain when peeing.

Orally look for white / yellowish raised spots on your tongue and mucous membranes, a thick white coating on the tongue that when scraped reveals fissures in the tongue, bad breath, pain when swallowing, pinkish spots on lips (common with inhaler use).

Other (unexpected) symptoms to lookout for are; chronic rashes, skin lesions, constant fatigue, memory loss, mood swings, memory loss, depression, aching or swelling joints, etc.

Normal everyday treatment you get through your doctor, or over-the-counter, usually consists of topical creams and pills. These can be effective, particularly in the short term. Their drawback, . . . → Read More: Male Yeast Infection Symptoms Should Never Be Ignored – Why?
