how long should a fast against candida last?

Question by First Namerggdf: how long should a fast against candida last?
I have done 3 days so far of water fasting in an effort to get rid of this. How long should this last?
I meant water fast as in a fast where I only drink water, not as in a fast where I do everything but drink water, sorry for the confusion!

Best answer:

Answer by R.M.G!Who told you that you should “fast”, to get rid of Candida?
That is not an effective treatment for candida.
Your time would have been better spent, doing a web-search for natural cures/treatments against candida.
Drinking water helps people to flush out waste, and toxins out of the body.
Not drinking water for 3 days will only get YOU dehydrated!
Whoever suggested that you do that, was/is an idiot.

Sorry for not realizing that. But on this board, all kinds of crazy things show up, so we start expecting to read the un-thinkable.
I do hope you ARE doing your own web-search on your subject, since you are not getting much here. The search that I “did”, did not include “flushing your system”, as a possible answer. Happy hunting.

Thrush-what causes it and what is the cure for it? How long does it last?

Question by NY_Attitude: Thrush-what causes it and what is the cure for it? How long does it last?
I noticed this morning that our baby who just turned 9 months old has white patches in her mouth. When I got home…I nursed her and after she fell asleep, I was able to get a good look. Then I looked up thrush online. It looks like what she has.

What is the treatment most doctors use if it is thrush? I will call tomorrow morning. She is also cutting 2 teeth.

Also, what causes it? I breastfed our son, and he never had thrush.

Best answer:

Answer by cotoncandyI’ve always heard that kissing your baby in the mouth causes thrush. It’s actually a yeast infection in the mouth. It’s quite common so don’t be worried. When my son was little he also got it and I gave him the purple medicine that the doctor gives you to get rid of it. After taking it for 2 weeks, he still had it. My sister suggested giving him a dropper full of buttermilk, or in the case of a 9 month old…..a nipple full (just enough to coat the mouth). I gave it to him once in . . . → Read More: Thrush-what causes it and what is the cure for it? How long does it last?

How long does fatigue last from candida yeast overgrowth?

Question by mowmow: How long does fatigue last from candida yeast overgrowth?
After feeling ill for nearly a year I finally found out that I had a candida yeast overgrowth. I have been on a low sugar, low caffeine diet for about a month now and have been taking garlic and probiotics for about 2 weeks. My other symptoms seem to be getting better, but my fatigue is as bad as ever. I sleep for 12 hours on some days. When should I expect the fatigue to go away?

Best answer:

Answer by Lynette IIt takes around 3-5 months to balance between the healthy bacteria and the yeast in your body, but most people will be feeling better at 1 month into using the prescription antifungal “Diflucan.” Here is your “recipe” for treating the yeast: Begin by avoiding sugar (except for dark chocolate) which is a healthy food in moderation. Remember, sugar feeds yeast. Take healthy bacteria (probiotics) to fight the yeast. I recommend Probiotic Pearls or Acidophilus Pearls twice a day for 3-5 months. At the same time, begin the herbal antifungal mix “Anti-Yeast” twice a day for 3-5 months. You can add the medication Diflucan for 6-12 weeks (get the generic . . . → Read More: How long does fatigue last from candida yeast overgrowth?

How long should symptoms last after a 1 day yeast infection treatment?

Question by Mom of 2 boys: How long should symptoms last after a 1 day yeast infection treatment?
Used 1 day treatment on Friday, itching was better. But it’s back again today. Is this normal?
Yeast infection diagnosed by doctor.

Best answer:

Answer by MegIt can take anywhere from 3-7 days for your symptoms to completely disappear. If you are still itching by next Friday, make a doctor’s appointment to make sure you actually have a yeast infection, and not a bacterial infection instead (which requires different treatment).

How long does thrush last after you have taken treatment?

Question by sexiebum: How long does thrush last after you have taken treatment?
As they symptoms are rather annoying. I am also 22 weeks pregnant i only can take the external cream.

Best answer:

Answer by aeaclIt should clear up really fast. Like within 48 hours you shouldn’t be bothered any more. If that’s not the case, you need a stronger medication and you need to tell your doctor. The symptoms ARE miserable- don’t suffer. Good luck!

Answer by SionFirst off stop wearing tight fitting pants and panties that hold the moisture against you causing infection to grow. Wear a long skirt with a cotton underslip, this allows for air to circulate and keep you dry.
second increase you Vitamin C intake to 3000 mg twicwe a day until this clears up
Vitamin C is one of Natures safest and best workinf antibiotics there is and costs less then expensive prescription rpoducts.
The number one reason women suffer from yeast infections is the wearing of panties and pants that retain the moisture and heat that encourages infectious growth.
Also do not drink coffee, tea or alcohol as stimulants will increase the problem and not allow it to heal.
Coffee. tea and alcohol deplete the body of Vitamin C, on of the most important nutrients of the body.
Sugar also will increase the spread of infections and viruses and they feed off . . . → Read More: i had vaginosis last year an got treataed, it caused candida what can i use to get rid of candida?
