What are symptoms of a yeast infection? Are they similar to symptoms of herpes?

Question by Theriie Babbiiex3: What are symptoms of a yeast infection? Are they similar to symptoms of herpes?
Well, I’ll be open about it, I have some type of vaginal infection. But idk what it is. I asked a friend, and she said it could be herpes, another one said it could be a yeast infection. So what are the symptoms of both, and are they similar?

Best answer:

Answer by Samantha DoeI’m sure there are slight differences as far as symptoms. Usually extreme itching and some burning. One natural way to get rid of it is to not wear undergarments and eat yogurt with live active culture daily until the symptoms are gone. Usually about a week. You may want to see a doctor if you have had unprotected sex and fear you have a std tho.

What are the similarities between symptoms of Candida infection and Herpes Simplex infection?

Question by stvenryn: What are the similarities between symptoms of Candida infection and Herpes Simplex infection?
Particularly the way the infected area looks and the time to heal without medication?

Best answer:

Answer by DrPyeBoth can cause irritation of the gential area. The similarities end there, though. Candida is a yeast that overgrows at times, causing diffuce redness, itching, and thick white vaginal discharge (Candida also causes white plaques when it shows up on other areas of skin, like between skin folds of obese folk or on the tongues of those with oral candida) Herpes causes extremely painful, discrete ulcers on the moist mucosal skin. Think pain, not itch, and no associate white material!

Herpes will regress in 2 weeks after the first outbreak, adn after about 1 week in subsequent outbreaks. Candida will stick around until you treat it with an antifungal….from your doctor.

The best way to differentialte between the two on yourself is with your doctor’s help!

what are the differences between yeast infection symptoms and genital herpes symptoms?

Question by latingirl: what are the differences between yeast infection symptoms and genital herpes symptoms?
ive had a yest infection before but this one is different i got the itchy and the irritated part of it as well as the white discharge but now i also got this type of sore that burns when i urinate. Can this happen with a yeast infection? or does it sound more like genital herpes?

Best answer:

Answer by wtackittYou may have both, Herpes will usually come out with alot of painful sores, not just one unless you have already had an outbreak before. If you are not already being treated for your yeast infection you may want to visit with your doctor to make sure you don’t have an outbreak.
