Question by 2scoops: Candida Diet and Gluten Free?
I believe I have candida from mercury detox. I am getting a yellow and white coated tongue, digestive issues, acid reflux, and headaches. I want to go on a candida and gluten free diet.
Does anyone know of some foods that are good for this diet. Also, where restuarants and food chains can you go to eat this diet? I love Chipotle, is there items on their menu?

Answer by WywysmomI would first consult your doctor as you may have a more serious issue. As far as Gluten Free diets go, there are several resources online such as glutenfree.com or glutenfreemall.com. You may want to do a Google or Yahoo search for places in your area that serve gluten free items. Many grocery stores such as Whole Foods carry gluten free products.
Good luck and I hope that you feel better.

Answer by Chef AnneHi Space!
My heart goes out to you! The candida diet is so strict that you’re lucky you haven’t starved to death. I’ve found two recipes for you, but more than that, I’ve found places where you can get recipes for free. I think it might help you if you could choose the recipes that sound good to you. At this point, I imagine anything sounds good! These two recipes were devoloped by a girl with candida, and she also has a blog with recipes.
CHOCOLATE CAKE
1/4 cup of dairy-free (lactose-free) margarine
5 very heaping teaspoons of rice syrup
3 eggs
2 teaspoons gluten-free vanilla (or vanilla extract)
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups white rice flower (not brown)
1 teaspoon gluten-free baking powder
All you have to do is find 2 8 inch round cake pans — grease them with the margarine. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
1. Put the margarine, rice syrup, eggs, vanilla, cocoa powder, rice flower and baking . . . → Read More: Recipes for Candida diet and Gluten free diet?

Question by Shaila Cooke: What kind of yeast free recipes (Candida diet) should you consider?
Best answer:
Answer by Pocholo DeleonComing out with a yeast free recipe is not an easy thing, you have to know which foods contain yeast and which are not. There are even some fruits that you are not allowed to eat while you are on Candida diet. Before eating or purchasing anything, make it a habit to read the label to know the contents and ingredients because it may negate the purpose of your Candida diet.

Question by Bruce W: Why is it that you can have certain liquors (i.e. tequila) on a gluten free diet but not on a candida diet?
I’m 99% positive I have a candida problem and am going to stick to the diet for a month or so to see if it works. According to things I read I can’t have any alcohol period, but with a gluten-free diet (which avoids yeast) you can drink certain liquors, like tequila…
Best answer:
Answer by sailorFirst of all, a gluten free diet does not avoid yeast– it avoids gluten which is a protein in wheat, rye and barley. There isn’t any gluten in tequila.
